Hastings Florida Red Rat Snake

Elaphe guttata guttata

This locality is as close to a naturally occurring blood red corn snake as it gets and is found around Hastings Florida. This animal has reduced black pigment and the ground color is almost the same as the blotching. The belly pattern of a Hastings Red Rat is a yellow and white checker board.
